Liam's First Surgery
Thankfully Liam successfully completed his first of 3 heart reconstruction surgery today. His surgery began at 7:45 A.M. (Friday Setp 28) and Liam left the operating room at 5:30pm. Our thanks to Dr. Rosenkranz and his team for this miraculous surgery. Dr. Rosenkranz said that Liam did well in surgery and everything could be expected to go well did go well. Liam will now be in the cardiac neonatal intensive care unit for at least one month. Liam will be under sedation for at least six days. Currently, the doctors have not closed his chest. On Monday the surgeons will return to do that. The next seven days are critical. The following month to come Liam will be gathering strength to be discharged and to head home. We will be staying at the Ronald McDonald House for parents beginning tonight. Please keep Liam in your prayers. The whole family thanks you for your help and concern.

We were so happy to read the good news reguarding Liam's surgery yesterday. We have passed on the news to our family and to Trudy Bell who I talk to every day and who was so concerned. As always, you are all in our prayers and we will follow Liam's progress on this site. Love to all.
From the Corliss family - It's the Corliss family again. We wish we could do more than pray and send our love, but be assured we're praying hard and sending lots of love.
Roanoke College is praying for you all. Good luck and God bless.
Hello to you all. My name is Karla and we met on Saturday September 29th, 2007 at Ronald McDonald House. I was there with my 2 daughters and their high school Key Club. It was such a pleasure meeting both of you and hearing about your incredible journey. I will be praying for you all in the days and weeks and months to come. You have a wonderful family and I can't wait to see all the great updates on this web site. Best wishes and God bless you all.
